Acutopia PLLC - John F. Moore, L.Ac, MSAcOM
About Me

My name is John F. Moore and I am a licensed and board-certified acupuncturist and herbalist based in Seattle, Washington.

My philosophy of care is that the patient deserves the time to express concerns, hear all treatment options, receive a clear explanation, and experience the most attentive and compassionate care possible.

I operate a general family practice in Seattle's Eastlake neighborhood where all ages are welcome, with a focus on internal medicine and pain reduction.  I use a variety of techniques and combine acupuncture with bodywork, moxabustion, and herbal therapy to craft a treatment that best suits your condition.

I first discovered the healing power of Chinese Medicine in my mid-20's.  I had always been interested in natural medicine, using herbs and supplements with a focus on wellness rather than taking prescription drugs for my health concerns.  I suffered from insomnia, chronic allergies, and fatigue.  I decided to try acupuncture and was amazed at how great I felt after each treatment.

After several treatments my allergies were cured and I was sleeping every night.  I had renewed energy, focus, and stamina.  I started to read about Chinese Medicine, and coupled with my interest in herbology, embarked upon this path with a desire to share it with others and help those in need receive the healing they required.

I strive to create a space where you feel comfortable and relaxed.  If you are new to acupuncture and have some reservations about needles, I will walk you through the process so that you feel at ease.  Most people find this form of medicine to be relaxing and restorative.  If you have received acupuncture in the past, I trust that you will continue to receive top-notch care from me.  I would like everyone to give acupuncture a try and experience this ancient yet very effective medicine.

I am a graduate of the Seattle Institute of Oriental Medicine with a Masters Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.   I am board-certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and licensed to practice by the Washington State Department of Health (license number: AC60054008).  I am a member of the Washington Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Association (www.waoma.org) and the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (www.acudetox.com).
